What will Teague Attempt to Tax Next?

HOBBS, NM – It was one year ago today that Harry Teague and his liberal Democrat friends in Washington rubber-stamped the job-killing national energy tax.  Teague provided a crucial vote on the legislation that would increase taxes and drive up the cost of electricity and gas at the pump as well as cost New Mexico jobs.
 
“The Cap and Trade legislation that Teague supported would be devastating for New Mexico families.  The economy is still struggling and New Mexican families are still struggling.  Yet, Harry Teague and his special interest friends in Washington continue to look for new ways to tax Americans and kill jobs,” said former Congressman Steve Pearce.
 
How are Democrats in Washington celebrating the one-year anniversary of passing the National Energy Tax in the House?  They are floating a new energy bill in the Senate, which will include a multi-trillion dollar gas tax.
