Will ensure health care reforms do not grow government

HOBBS, NM – Former Congressman Steve Pearce signed the Club for Growth Repeal It pledge.

The pledge stated Pearce would sponsor and support legislation to repeal any Federal health care takeover that is passed in 2010 and replace it with real reforms that lower health care costs without growing government.

Former Congressman Steve Pearce said, “This health care bill is bad for America.  If it passes, I will work with others in Congress to repeal those parts of the bill that will do the most harm to our economy.  We must do something to make health care more affordable and accessible.  However, we do not need a complete overhaul that fundamentally changes the quality of care or the manner in which we receive it.”

Pearce added, “I would propose changing the healthcare system with a series of ten page bills we could all read and understand, making incremental changes that improve, but do not destroy our current healthcare system.”
