Called a Proven Second Amendment Ally
HOBBS, NM - Former Congressman Steve Pearce today announced that he has been endorsed by the Gun Owners of America Political Victory Fund (GOA).
Tim Macy, Vice Chairman of GOA stated in a written statement:
"During his six years as a U.S. Congressman, Steve Pearce earned an "A" rating from Gun Owners of America for a consistently pro-gun voting record. His opponent, in addition to supporting Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House, voted three times in 2009 against the repeal of a gun ban on National Park Service land.
"Steve Pearce is a proven Second Amendment ally who respects your Constitutional liberties and will fight in Washington for your right to keep and arms"
"I am proud to have the support of the Gun Owners of America. Our Second Amendment freedoms are a fundamental right guaranteed to us by the U.S. Constitution and I will always protect those freedoms," stated Former Congressman Steve Pearce.
Pearce added, "there are some who claim they would be fine with turning their guns in, but I'm not one of them. I understand that the right to bear arms is an individual right and will not support any efforts to chip away at our Constitutional rights and freedoms."
While in Congress, Pearce was one of the original members of the Congressional Second Amendment Caucus, dedicated to the lawful right of individuals to keep and bear arms.

ENDORSEMENT FROM GUN OWNERS OF AMERICA
I would also like to add that Mr. Pearce has earned an " A " rating on gun issues from the National Rifle Association (NRA) . This compares with a " D" rating for our two New Mexico Senator's Jeff Bingaman and Tom Udall. I will be working at the gun show at Dickerson's Barn in Las Cruces this weekend and this is useful info for me to share with the public there. Scott LaFon
