Obama's Job Creation Plan A Complete Loss

Hundreds Of Millions Of Your Dollars Wasted With No Jobs Created

Unemployment not only went up after the stimulus, it turns out that we've lost more jobs with the stimulus than we would have without it.  The whole stimulus plan might have had a very different purpose after all.  It certainly didn't create jobs.  It didn't stimulate the economy in any way, but the money - your money was given to someone.  Looks like a payoff on this side.  Someone, maybe a lot of someones were given your money and not only did you get nothing in return, neither did the economy.

The following video gives a great visual representation to help you see exactly what happened.  This information uses data from several months ago, but it hasn't gotten any better since June.  Millions of jobs, and hundreds of millions of dollars right down the drain.

Global Warming Computer Hackers

Conservatives and liberals all agree that we need to do everything we can to save and protect the environment.  Many of the suggestions coming from the liberals will kill jobs.   I prefer win-win solutions to those that protect the environment and protect our jobs and economy.

One of my problems with global warming advocates is that their suggestions will cost many Americans their jobs, yet they are casual about the scientific evidence.  They are willing to ignore any evidence that contradicts their arguments.  The winter of 2007 broke all cold records.  There was ice in Viet Nam that year.  I was there for the better part of 3 years—winter, summer, fall and spring—and there was no ice, no winter at all. But two years ago, thousands of cattle froze.  The global warming advocates refused to include that winter in their calculation because it messed up the model.  They exclude forest fires and volcanic eruptions both of which dwarf human inputs of carbon in the atmosphere.

Even Young People Can Grasp The Issues

And Decide What Is Fair And What Is Tyranny

The next generation

By David Montes, Las Cruces, NM

I have my ups and I have my downs as a substitute teacher. The 'downs' consist of confronting the apathy and the low achievement of many - too many students and even many teachers and schools. But the 'ups' are sometimes enough to make me forget about the 'downs' and to help me stay focused on the good that we can achieve.

Last Friday was an up day. I was substituting in a 10th grade classroom in which the students were studying nationalism. The assignment was for the students to imagine they were establishing their own country. They had to come up with a motto and a national emblem. They also had to answer some pretty interesting questions that involved the running of a government.

Cap And Trade Is A New Payoff Machine For Democrats

Source: Ad Hoc Coalition of Small Business Refiners

Under a strict cap and trade program all of the above allowances (meaning 100%) would be auctioned off to find the "true" Market price for carbon. However, as can be expected with any government program where the government is looking to curry favor with one group or another, a number of allowances are being doled out for free - to win votes. It is a true game of the government picking the winners and losers before the game ever even starts.

Waxman-Markey (the cap and trade bill) doled out its allowances along the lines of the chart above.  In that chart you will see that 16.5 % will be truly auctioned.  The remaining 84.5% are given away for free over a limited period of time that ratchets down.

What was the refining industry's portion of these free allowances under Waxman-Markey? Under Waxman-Markey refiners have two categories of GHG emissions that they became obligors for, process emissions and consumer emissions.

Staging Sheikh Mohammed Terrorist Trial In NY Reckless

Oh, that is just brilliant.  Putting Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and his fellow terrorists on trial in New York is about the most reckless thing this administration could do.  They might as well paint a big bull's-eye on New York and write “prime target” above it.  This is the insanity to which political correctness has led.

It also raises some extremely important issues.  Will the allowable evidence be enough to convict these mass murderers?  That may sound silly, I mean they are obviously guilty, but the rules of evidence in our citizen/civilian courts are much stricter than is the case for an enemy combatant in a military tribunal.  Remember, Zacarias Moussaoui, the twentieth hijacker, already escaped his deserved death penalty because of the civil liberties aimed at protecting the rights of a defendant in a civilian criminal court.  Because of these protections, especially the Fourth Amendment to our Constitution, prosecutors were not allowed to use data from his computer.  Without this evidence, he received a life sentence instead of the death penalty.

NY Times Article Blasts Administration Reporting On Stimulus Package Results

So the reports on just how good the stimulus package has been doing in creating and saving jobs from recovery.gov are raising eyebrows all over the country.  It's not just that there are a few numbers that look a little off, it's that there are a whole slew of entries that are simply out of any frame of reality that is even remotely in the realm of what might be called truthful.

The folks at recovery.gov have attributed the poor data to human error, but that has only led to more questions about the appalling lack of oversight before posting figures as "facts."  And since many of the reports are not just misleading, but "outrageous . . .and ludicrous," (and that's Dem David Obey speaking) representatives on both sides of the isle are understandably upset.

The full NY TImes article can be read Here:  Exclusive: Jobs 'Saved or Created' in Congressional Districts That Don't Exist

You'll find it might just get your ire up as well.

Garrey Carruthers, former Governor

“Governor Bruce King was always a delight to work with when I served as Governor.  Steve Reynolds, the great State Engineer, had passed away toward the end of my term and I had stated that I would run the search process and that the candidate who won the election (race was between Governor King and Frank Bond) would join me in naming a person to this post.  Bruce and I agreed upon Eloy Martinez who served with distinction. During my time, Bruce also always adhered to an unwritten rule that former Governor’s did not criticize sitting Governors.  To my knowledge, he never violated this rule.”

Jack Swickard, former Editor of the Albuquerque Times

"Bruce King was unfailingly courteous and brought out the best in people, even when he was in an election contest with them. At political events, Bruce made a point of visiting with his opponents and asking them about their family members by name. Politics was not a blood sport for Bruce King. I always suspected Bruce got involved in politics so he could meet people. He was always happy and energized when running for office."

Victims Are Owed Justice In A Deliberate Manner On A Prompt Timetable

HOBBS, NM – The recent shooting at Fort Hood in Texas, which claimed the lives of thirteen individuals and one unborn child, deserves a prompt and thorough investigation from all authorities involved.  Steve Pearce supports both the prosecution of the shooter to the fullest extent of the law and the calls for through federal and congressional investigations into the events that led to last week’s attack.

“While we continue to mourn the lives that were tragically lost last week, we must remember that we owe it the victims and their families to get to the bottom of what happened at Fort Hood,” former Congressman Steve Pearce said.
